European PlayStation users can now take advantage of a new PlayStation Plus fre trial offer.
European PlayStation players who have been on the fence about giving Sony’s subscription-based PlayStation Plus service a try can now do so risk-free for two whole weeks.
The new promotion, which is currently only open to European PSN accounts, allows users to try out all the cool features offered through PlayStation Plus, which includes free downloads of select titles, deep discounts on digital copies of certain games, and (for PlayStation 4 users) access to online multiplayer, absolutely free for 14 days.
Naturally there are some caveats; the offer can only be redeemed on accounts that have never had an active PS Plus subscription before and users have to enter in valid credit card information when signing up for the offer. Once the offer is redeemed, the subscription’s auto-renewal will be set to “on” which means once the two week period is over, users will automatically be charged for the next month unless they turn auto-renewal off.
Despite its restrictive conditions, this new offer could definitely go a long way towards helping European players decide whether or not PlayStation Plus is right for them. Hopefully a similar deal will make its way over to North American players before long.
