Mario and Sonic At the Olympics and discounted Legend of Zelda games highlight the downloads this week.
Welcome to yet another Thursday and I don’t even have to tell you what today is, do I? I will anyway because that’s what you come here for. The Nintendo eShop has updated itself again and this week it looks like the digital retail market has a few games to buy.
First up is Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics which is the next installment of the Mario/Sonic Olympics series. Play as your favorite Mario and Sonic characters as they fight for the gold medal in several real and “dream” events. For the first time, you’ll be able to use the controls of the Wii U to play different athletic events like switching between the Wii-mote and the Game Pad in the biathlon or steering with the Game Pad. You’ll also be able to compete against the world for the top ranking with the online features of the Wii U. You’ll be able to play Mario and Sonic on November 15th.
Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know! stars Finn and Jake from the Cartoon Network hit show while they explore Princess Bubblegum’s Secret Royal Dungeon. There have been a lot of stealing and kidnapping in the land of Ooo and the Princess thinks it must have something to do with her secret dungeon so that’s where Finn and Jake come in. There are 100 levels to explore and you can play as your favorite Adventure Time characters. Also this week is Zumba Fitness World Party which is basically working out to music. You’ll be able to go to several gorgeous locations and have great music to listen to while you work out. The HD graphics of the Wii U will make the locations pop off the screen. Old school classic River City Ransom will be making a come back this week for the 3DS Virtual Console. Long story short, your girl has been kidnapped and your city, River City, has been taken over. All you need to do is save the girl and get the town back, no big deal right? Starting today( Nov. 14) you can see if you have what it takes to save the girl and get River City back.
Nintendo likes to put things on sale on the eShop and guess what, this week is no different. However, this week does have a top tier franchise getting discounted prices. For the holiday season, Nintendo will be having discounted prices for some of the top gaming franchises the company has. The Legend of Zelda is up first and you can save 30% on select Zelda titles like The Legend of Zelda( Wii U/3DS), Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link( Wii U/3DS), and Link’s Awakening DX( 3DS).The sale will only last until Nov 21st so act quickly.
