Wii Sports Club and Toki Tori highlight the downloads this week
Another week has come and gone and I would like to think you guys know what that means. For those of you who don’t, shame on you, you haven’t been paying attention. The Nintendo eShop has updated itself again and there are some pretty interesting games making their eShop debut this week. A classic that started the whole Wii revolution gets updated graphics and the other comes from my buds over at Two Tribes Games.
Wii Sports was the game that everyone who owned a Wii played to start the motion controlled fun. Wii Sports was included with the Wii to teach the players the basics of motion controls by playing Baseball and Bowling. The game has updated graphics in Wii Sports Club where you can play against your friends and family online. You will also have the chance to join a club or start a club in one of the sports offered in the game. You can get a 24 hour trial pass and then you’ll have two purchasing options. You can either buy a “Day Pass” for 2 bucks, with access to all the sports for a day, or a “Club Pass” that allows unlimited access to a single sport with no limits. Wii Sports Club uses the Wii Motion-Plus for precise controls and Miiverse connectivity.
One of the other games available this week is Toki Tori, the platformer/puzzle game from the creative minds of Two Tribes Games. The game play is similar to the Feed Me Oil franchise in terms of game play, where you pick up an egg and use a certain number of tools to do so. In comparison, Feed Me Oil has oil being transported with achievements unlocked by being able to figure out how to use fewer tools. The game supports the off-TV feature for the Wii U Game Pad and has a wide range of challenges over the 80+ levels available.
Some old favorites are coming back into the fold this week with Kid Icarus: Uprising available for purchase on the 3DS eShop and Wario’s Woods available on the Wii U Virtual Console. Kid Icarus: Uprising was the Kid Icarus game that fans were waiting years for. Wario’s Woods plays like Yoshi and Tetris where you play as Toad, trying to keep the woods safe from Wario. The eShop is running a sale but stop me if you’ve heard this one before. This week, ATLUS games, like Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan and Code of Princess, are ten dollars cheaper than usual. The sale starts on Nov. 11th and ends on the 18th so fans of these franchises should jump at this deal. Games available this week: 4 Elements( 3DS eShop), Crazy Chicken: Director’s Cut 3D( 3DS eShop/Dsiware-Dsi), Korg M01D( 3DS eShop), Luxor( 3DS eShop), My Baby Pet Hotel 3D( 3DS eShop), Secret Agent Files: Miami( 3DS eShop), and Wario’s Woods( 3DS V.C). Enjoy the games everyone!
