Phoenix Wright and Batman highlight the downloads this week.

Let’s see if you’ve been paying attention; it’s Thursday. What happens on a Thursday? That’s right, the Nintendo eShop updates itself with new material and this week has quite a lot of interesting material available. Without further delay, let’s get right into this.

Let’s start off with the Wii U eShop/Virtual Console. This week players will be able to purchase the digital versions of Sonic: Lost World, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and Batman: Arkham Origins. Sonic and Assassin’s Creed hit on the 29th and Batman hits the eShop on Oct. 25th. Fans have been waiting for Batman: Arkham Origins for some time and since the Pirate theme was released; players have wanted to play Assassin’s Creed 4. Reviews hitting the internet have been mixed for Sonic: Lost World but fans of Sonic shouldn’t let that stop them from playing it. NES classic Pinball joins the Wii U Virtual Console lineup so old school Nintendo fans will want to grab that.

The 3DS is getting in on the fun as well this week with Sonic: Lost World being available to download on Oct. 29th. Joining Batman: Arkham Origins is the 3DS companion game, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, available to download on Oct. 25th. Also available for the 3DS Virtual Console is Star Soldier. Star Soldier is a classic vert-scroll shooter where your mission is to take out the super computer, Starbrain. Fight your way through 16 different stages to the final fight with Starbrain.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Duel Destinies is available starting today on the eShop and the latest installment brings classic Phoenix Wright game play back for the series. The main change is that the series breaks into 3D for the first time. The game also added new Psychoanalysis expert (need an expert in court) Athena Sykes. The game does a great job in simulating a real courtroom experience. The eShop is putting Urban Trial Freestyle on sale this week for 5 bucks until 9 am on Nov. 7th so grab that while you can at the discounted price. Also available this week: Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land( 3DS eShop), Baseball(Wii U V.C), Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures( Wii U eShop), Monster High: 13 Wishes( Wii U eShop/3DS eShop), Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt 2( 3DS eShop), and My Little Baby 3D( 3DS eShop). Enjoy the games everyone!
