The leading gaming community, RAPTR, came out with the results for their second annual "Most Played Games Awards." The results were tabulated by what games are being played by the gaming masses as well as average individual playtime, average session length, and total playtime share. Dennis Fong, CEO of Raptr, says that "“This year’s results point out notable game play trends, particularly how gamers are spending time playing their favorite games. We’re seeing more time invested in games that constantly introduce new content and other community engagement activities, from console titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Portal 2 to MOBAs like League of Legends.”
The main points from the awards were the "Most played new game" award went to Borderlands 2. The "Most played game"(released anytime) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The "No bathroom break" award went to Borderlands 2 and the "Most Played New IP" award went to Dragon’s Dogma. Dragon's Dogma won the award over Dishonored and TERA, two games that could have won the award themselves. The data is created by stats such as total hours, average session length, and average playtime per person. Wii and PS3 games aren't included in this data because of issues/method of data capturing
