It's without question that there many fans of the Gears of War series wondering in their heads if this title would ever appear on the Xbox One. Head of Microsoft Studios Phil Spencer made an interesting statement in regards to this very topic in a recent interview. Here is what he said...
"Gears of War is developed by Epic Games, and they’ve been our partners for a long time on Xbox 360. You should ask Epic Games about what they want to do. We haven’t announced anything yet about Gears of War, but we hope to bring it to Xbox One in some form. However, there’s nothing more I can tell you at this time."
Without trying to further complicate things, it would be interesting if Microsoft DIDN'T bring a Gears of War title to the Xbox One. One could make the argument that the last Gears of War title didn't perform quite like some have expected and other things like where the original creator of Gear of War went. The list goes on but it will be quite interesting to see where Epic Games fits in the fold for the Xbox One.
