Looks like fans are going to ride the success of the GTA V petition!
It’s that time again where another petition is gaining support. This time the gaming world wants Dark Souls 2 to be released for the Wii U. The petition is pretty straight forward in that it says “Please bring DARK SOULS II to the Wii U game system!" The gaming world is trying to grab onto the success of the Grand Theft Auto V to PC petition but it looks like that one had a lot more thought put into what was written in the actual petition. Even so, this petition as of 12/12/12 had 10,044 supporters, so plenty of people are behind this idea.
Christopher Marcil, who started the petition, feels that the Wii U could be great for the Dark Souls franchise. He states "I can see many ways that the Wii U could benefit the game, such as managing inventory on the touch screen without having to obscure the player's vision on the TV (the Souls games do not pause, so you must be able to pay attention at all times). The affordability of a Wii U console compared to a gaming PC, and the free online play compared to Xbox Live fees on 360, make the Wii U version ideal for anyone who does not have or want a PS3." There are many reasons why gamers are behind this and they range from third party support for Nintendo to the franchise being the player’s favorite series. If it can gain anything from the GTA V petition, it shows that if you get enough people in your corner, people will listen to what you have to say. Should be interesting to follow this in the coming weeks just to see if they get enough people in their corner.
