Pokemon, Zelda, and Wario. Sounds like one hell of a gaming week, doesn't it?
Another week has come and gone and you know what that means don’t you? The Nintendo eShop has updated and there are some pretty good looking games releasing this week. Pokemon, Zelda and Wario all come into the foreground this week and the “finally” released Rayman Legends hits the eShop soon so let’s get right into this.
Pokemon Rumble U is the first Pokemon Wii U game released as well as the first time NFC figures are being used for a Nintendo-exclusive franchise. Long story short, Pokemon Rumble U tells the tale of a group of toy Pokemon trying to get back to the toy shop they were originally meant to be shipped to. The toys will need your help and to help out, Gamestop will be selling the NFC figures in random capsules so you never know what Pokemon you’re going to get. I was lucky enough to get Pikachu and Mewtwo so I have those toys for my team!
The other game coming to the Wii U (soon) is Rayman Legends. This game is finally coming to the Wii U after having its release date pushed back. The game has all sorts of gameplay aspects to it. Some of the levels are rhythm based and some are basic platformers. The game also has 5 player co-op so team up with friends to fight and win. The game finally comes out Sept. 3rd so be ready.
The Virtual Console service doesn’t miss out this week with Link and Wario on center stage. The Legend of Zelda comes to the Wii U V.C. service this week and long-standing fans of the series and new comers alike will not want to pass up the first Legend of Zelda adventure. You’ll need every ounce of courage to save Princess Zelda from the clutches of Ganon. Good thing you’ll have a wide array of items and skills learned throughout your mission to rescue the Princess to actually save her.
Our other homeboy, Wario, is back for Warioland 3 for the 3DS Virtual Console. Join Wario as he seeks out mysterious treasure. New transformations like Fat Wario (what, can’t tell) and Zombie Wario can be helpful in your quest but at the same time, could be a hassle to what you’re trying to do. Use what you learn in certain levels to beat up bosses and find all the lost treasure. Also available this week is the Bit.Trip Saga on sale until Sept. 15th. Starting Sept. 1st, you’ll be able to get Bit.Trip Saga on sale for 5 bucks that has the whole Bit.Trip Saga all in one place. Enjoy the games this week everyone!
