Sony has confirmed that they plan to release several console bundles for the PlayStation 4.
After an interesting new listing was spotted over on Amazon France, Sony has confirmed that they’re already gearing up to release console bundles of their upcoming next-gen system.
It all began when a new item mysteriously appeared on the Amazon France website. For £430 (roughly $500 U.S. dollars) customers can order a special PlayStation 4 bundle which includes the system, two controllers, a PlayStation Camera, and a copy of Killzone Shadow Fall.
The bundle has yet to be listed by either U.K. or U.S. retailers but Sony has confirmed that the Killzone bundle is just the first of several bundles they plan to release globally: "We're tremendously happy with our overall value proposition, whether that be the entry price point of the machine [or] the detailed bundles and combinations that we will put on shelf at retail which we haven't fleshed out in detail as yet."
Even on its own the Killzone PS4 bundle sounds like a great deal. For the price of a standard Xbox One (which, in Microsoft’s defense, also includes a Kinect and a copy of Fifa 25) buyers get an extra controller, a PlayStation Camera peripheral, and one of the most promising-looking exclusive launch titles for the system. We’ll have to wait and see what sorts of other PS4 bundles Sony has in the works but it already looks like they’re off to a great start.
