Bungie’s new game takes home plenty of prizes, but EA has success with Titanfall, Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14.

The most coveted prizes of the European gaming industry for outstanding software and hardware - the Gamescom Awards - have been revealed. This year's international jury comprising of experts from the world's leading games media nominated 64 products and games from a selection of over 400 world, European and German premieres and 170 entries.


The overall winner of the Gamescom Awards 2013 is Electronic Arts, which picked up four trophies. They received awards for: Titanfall (Best Console Game Microsoft Xbox, Best Next Generation Game), Fifa 14 (Best Sports Game) and Battlefield 4 (Best PC Game). Activision Blizzard's new game, Destiny, won awards in three categories: Best Console Game Sony PlayStation, Best Action Game and Best Online Multiplayer Game. Destiny also won the Best of Gamescom award. The following table provides an overview of the winners of the gamescom awards 2013:
