Little is known about Ready At Dawn's upcoming next-gen game The Order 1886. But what *is* known now is that Ready At Dawn isn't planning on stopping at just one game.
Ready At Dawn CEO Ru Weerasuriya revealed at this year’s Gamescom conference that the studio’s mysterious upcoming game The Order 1886 will be more than just a single game and that they plan to make it into a franchise.
Right now little is known about The Order 1886 other than what was seen in the brief CG trailer that was shown at E3 and that the game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. That hasn’t stopped Ready At Dawn from looking ahead however as they are planning to release more games in the same series. Weerasuriya also hinted that “other media” set within the series’ universe is being considered as well so we might be seeing a The Order 1886 movie in the works before long.
Weerasuriya and the rest of the Ready At Dawn team sound awfully confident of their new game, especially since we still have yet to see any actual gameplay footage. The Order 1886 is currently slated for a 2014 release so hopefully they have some new info to share about the game between then and now.
