Castlevania fans who missed out on the 3DS handheld-exclusive Mirror of Fate will get their chance to bridge the Lords of Shadow gap on consoles in just a few months.
Konami has some good news for Castlevania fans who are hoping to get the full Lords of Shadow experience but who don’t have a Nintendo 3DS. The formerly 3DS-exclusive Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is officially getting an HD facelift and console re-release.
Mirror of Fate bridges the gap between Lords of Shadow and the upcoming Lords of Shadow 2 and stars three different vampire-slaying protagonists: Trevor and Simon Belmont and Symphony of the Night superstar Alucard. The game got pretty good reviews when it was originally released on the 3DS and now console players can get in on all the side-scrolling, whip-swinging action.
Mirror of Fate HD will be released digitally via both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network right in time for Halloween on October 31st, 2013. No word yet on how much it will cost but it should at least help tide fans over until Lords of Shadow 2’s release later this year.
