According to Shuhei Yoshida, remote play between the PS Vita and PS4 will work seamlessly thanks to the technical power of both handheld and console.
Sony President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter recently to explain how PlayStation Vita remote play will work with the next-gen PlayStation 4.
@RussTweetsTech Vita takes your input, receives and decodes video from PS4 very fast.

The tweet is a little vague, but what is clear is that the Vita will be up to the task of receiving video from the PS4 and keeping up with the console’s graphical demand with little effort. Player input will be handled on the Vita’s end but the handheld will also be able to quickly stream and decode video from the PS4.
Hopefully Sony will show off more of the PS Vita/PS4 remote play in action during their Gamescom press conference tomorrow but in the meantime it’s nice to get a slightly clearer picture on how remote play will function.
