The VGA Game of the year is available to the masses in physical form.
The Walking Dead, otherwise known as the winner of the Game of the Year at VGA's this year, is finally available in physical form. It isn't just a downloaded game anymore. It will be available for the Xbox 360 as well as the Playstation 3. The game will be available at the retail price of $29.99 and will have the first season of the game. "The Walking Dead" won more than just game of the year at the VGA's. Telltale Games won Studio of the Year, Best Downloadable Game, Best Adapted Video Game, and Best Performance by a Human Female for Melissa Hutchison as, Clementine. It was a good night all around for Telltale Games.
The game is getting high praise all over the internet by winning various "Game of the Year" awards from multiple web sites. One of the sites, IGN states "People will reference the series over and over as the benchmark for story-telling in games," and summed up the game's emotional impact by stating, "I cried in the final minutes, sat silently through the credits, and was speechless after the epilogue." The game takes place in the comic book's world created by Robert Kirkman. Players will interact with known characters from the comic book as well as new ones. Every choice the player makes comes back to affect the game play. You could make one choice during a play through and not have it screw you up until much later in the game so you have to think hard about how you handle every situation. The Walking Dead is rated 'M' (Mature) for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes and Strong Language
