The team behind Ubisoft's upcoming next-gen shooter The Division has confirmed that they're not planning on implementing any console-specific content.
Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world online shooter The Division is aiming to make some serious waves when it releases on next-gen consoles. According to game director Ryan Bernard, those waves will be equally awesome no matter which next-gen console you decide to play on.
In a new interview with Official Xbox Magazine, Bernard made it clear that he and the rest of the team behind The Division want to offer all next-gen gamers an equally awesome experience: "Currently, right now, because we're releasing for both platforms, we want the best game experience for both. We're not planning specific content or specific unique elements for either platform.”
This likely comes as welcome news to the majority of gamers who probably can’t afford to buy both an Xbox One and PlayStation 4; especially since Ubisoft hasn’t been shy in the past about offering console-exclusive content in some of its Assassin’s Creed games. It looks like for now at least, playing The Division on either Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will offer pretty much the same experience.
