Pikmin 3, Cloudberry Kingdom and Kirby’s Dream Land 2 highlight the Ninty Download this week.
It’s Thursday and you know what that means don’t ya? The Nintendo eShop has been updated again, this time with one of the upcoming games of the season. This game was shown off at E3 this year and could be the start of “Wii U Survival Mode.” Pikmin 3 comes out this week and you’ll be able to download from the Nintendo eShop as well as another one of the games mentioned this week, Cloudberry Kingdom.
Pikmin 3 was shown off, A LOT, at E3 this year and the game releases August 4th. Long story short, Pikmin 3 tells the tale of three space explorers who travel to planet PNF-404 to try and find food for their home planet, Koppai. Alph, Brittney, and Charlie must rely on their wits to survive and rebuild their ship as well as using the Pikmin during their mission. Fans of the series have been waiting for Pikmin 3 for a long and it looks like it won’t disappoint.
Also available this week, was also shown off at E3, is Cloudberry Kingdom. The game feels like an old-school platformer and has the look to match the feel. Players play the role of Bob, the retired hero who is forced out of retirement, to rescue the Princess from King Kobbler. What makes this game unique is that it has a random level generator so it never feels like the same each time you play it. Play either Arcade mode, Story mode, or Free Play mode. At times the game plays like a classic NES game and what I mean is that some points look like there is no possible way of doing something.
One of my favorite games is available to download for the 3DS Virtual Console is Kirby’s Dream Land 2. Kirby returns but this time he needs help and receives it from a hamster named Rick, an owl names Coo, and a fish named Kine. You can combine your abilities with the animal companion to create different attacks such as Rick turning into a giant boulder. The game also has some great music so fans of the Kirby franchise won’t want to pass this up.
This week isn’t just about downloading games, there is a sale going on as well. If you go to www.huluplus.com/WiiU2months and then download Hulu Plus, you’ll be able to get two free months of the service, which is a pretty good deal. Looks like a game or service will be on sale every week which isn’t a bad thing and would be great if Nintendo would put games on sale that they weren’t having trouble selling. Games available for download this week: Disney Planes, (Wii U/3DS eShop) Harvest Moon, (Wii U V.C.) Bike Rider BX, (3DS eShop) My Fam 3D, (3DS eShop) and Family Kart 3D (3DS eShop) Enjoy the games everyone!
