If you live in the UK and you want a guaranteed PlayStation 4 console on launch day, you better act fast.
Due to the overwhelming demand for Sony’s next-gen console, the company is urging UK residents to pre-order the PlayStation 4 as soon as possible if they want a guaranteed console on release day.

Several UK retailers have confirmed that Sony is urging those who want to receive a PS4 on launch day to put in their pre-orders “before next week” (effectively making next Monday, August 5, the deadline). Pre-orders can still be placed after the deadline, but Sony is warning potential buyers that since the demand is estimated to vastly outweigh the initial supply, any pre-orders made after this week won’t be guaranteed a console at launch.
Fortunatly, a number of retail outlets have also been promised additional consoles for general sale after the consoles are launched, which means that even those who don’t pre-order can still potentially snag a PS4 if they act fast. In the meantime, if you’re based in the UK, want a PS4, but haven’t pre-ordered one yet, now’s the time to act if you want an assured chance of getting a console on launch day.
