Now that Beauty and the Beast is entering it's second season, executive producers Sherri Cooper and Jenniver Levin have revealed that we're finally going to learn more about the pasts of two of the main characters.

Alright Beauty and the Beast fans, it’s time for a few minor spoilers. Last week, during the San Diego Comic Con, we pestered and prodded executive producers Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin for a few hints about the upcoming season, especially regarding Vincent’s past.

Their tease? Part of this season will involve a fire station.

This is big news for fans who want to learn more about Vincent’s family. “They’re all firefighters”, says executive producer Sherri Cooper, “his brothers, his family, his father even, so this is a good hint.” As we learned in the first season, Vincent's brothers died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, motivating him to join the military and ultimately leading to his involvement with the Muirfield experiments. While we don’t know exactly when in time we’ll visit this fire station, I think it’s safe to say that we’re definitely going to get to know more about - and maybe even meet - the Keller family.

But Vincent isn’t the only character getting a bigger and better backstory. This season, it's time to get to know J.T. Forbes. Not only will we find out how Vincent and J.T. met, but executive producer Jenniver Levin reveals we'll also learn why J.T. has been there for Vincent during this entire ordeal. “We’ll see what’s motivated him to give up his whole life and devote himself to protecting Vincent,” says Levin. “There’s a really cool story behind it.”

Theories on how J.T. and Vincent met, or how the fire station will play into the season? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
