Battlefield 4 developer DICE is currently investigating possible ways for players to transfer their stats from current to next-gen.
One fear that fans of EA’s and DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 4 have been very vocal about is whether or not progress accumulated in current-gen versions of the game will be transferable over to next-gen versions. While DICE has no confirmed stance at this time, the team has assured fans that they’re looking into it.
An earlier report from VideoGamer.com claimed that progression transfers wouldn’t be possible but DICE has since denied that report. The developer took to Twitter to reassure fans that they’d heard their complaints and are investigating a solution:
We've heard reports that players would like their stats and progression to transfer from current to next-gen in #BF4. We're investigating.

The tweet has been met with a lot of positive reception since, naturally, many fans want to play the game as soon as possible and for console players that means playing on either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Being able to upgrade to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions and have all of their stats and progression carry over would definitely be a welcome boon for players who want to have the ultimate Battlefield 4 experience.
