The game retailer fights the summer doldrums with new prizes.
The world’s largest video game retailer is offering an extra incentive to buy games this summer. The company has launched Summer Playcation, a five-week promotion giving gamers the best deals on the hottest games July 15 through August 18 in all GameStop stores.
Summer Playcation features trade and discount offers, plus every transaction earns customers the chance to win one of thousands of prizes. During the promotional period, customers who buy or trade anything at a GameStop store will receive a two-sided game piece and customers who make any purchase on GameStop.com will receive an entry code via email. This game piece includes a 50% trade bonus good for use when trading towards their next purchase and a code they can enter at GameStop.com for a chance to win prizes. There are five platinum-level and thousands of other prizes provided by GameStop partners.
