Check out our picks for the new shows breaking ground at Comic Con this weekend.
As essentially the largest gathering of nerds, geeks, and fans in the world, Comic Con is the perfect testing ground for studios to tease and try out their new TV shows. Whether it’s a pilot screening, a cast/crew Q&A, or a booth on the floor, there’s no better way for networks to hype up a show than to bring it directly to the nerds.
This year, we’re predicting the top five hits that are going to take the convention by storm.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Friday, July 19th – 1:45pm in Ballroom 20
Easily the most anticipated nerd TV show in years, this is the panel every self-respecting nerd will be lined up for by 4am. At the latest. Attended by nerd master himself, Joss Whedon, and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has an hour and fifteen minute time block set aside – leaving us wondering if we may catch an incredibly exclusive sneak peak of the series (of which we still know relatively little about). In addition, “special guests” are slated to appear, so who knows what hijinks may ensue?
