Despite being over four years old, Street Fighter IV is seeing continued support from Capcom with a new DLC update slated for early next year.
During the Street Fighter IV segment of the Evo 2013 fighting game tournament, Capcom announced that new character DLC for the game was on the way as both a stand-alone offering and packaged in along with a new version of the game called the “Ultra Edition.”
The new update, which is slated to release early next year, will include five new characters, six new stages, and a handful of balance changes and tweaks. Four of the new characters have already been revealed; Rolento, Elena, Hugo and Poison, with an unannounced fifth character, a newcomer to the series apparently, still being kept in the shadows of secrecy.
For players who already own Street Fighter IV, the Ultra DLC can be purchased for $14.99. Players who want an actual retail copy of the Ultra Edition, which will have all of the new DLC packaged right in, will be able to purchase it for $39.99.
