A recent job posting at Rockstar Leeds could mean that a PC port for Grand Theft Auto V is in the works.
Rockstar’s Leeds-based studio has put up a job posting for a new graphics programmer who will assist in bringing the developer’s games to the PC platform.
While no specific games have been cited as of yet, the timing of the listing hints strongly at the possibility of a PC port for Grand Theft Auto V, something many PC fans have been clamoring for ever since the game’s debut. The job posting also states that part of the programmer’s responsibilities will involve working on next-gen titles which means Rockstar already has their foot in the door for the next-gen market.
Rockstar Leeds previously worked on the PC port for L.A. Noire and other notable Rockstar games that have made the jump to PC in the past include Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV. Considering the healthy amount of mod support GTA IV got, porting GTA V over to PC as well would seem like a no-brainer for the developer. For now we’ll have to wait and see since Rockstar has yet to confirm or deny anything.
