Apple's iOS app store is giving away a fair number of games and apps that normally cost money for free.
A number of popular iOS games have been discounted on Apple’s app store from their usual prices down to the much more manageable price of zilch.
No reason has been given for the sudden discounts but many are speculating that it’s in anticipation of this coming Wednesday, July 10 which marks the fifth anniversary of the app store’s debut.
Notable titles that have had their prices reduced to nada include Andreas Illiger's Tiny Wings and the iPad exclusive Tiny Wings HD, Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery: EP, the challenging yet fun Disney puzzle game Where’s My Water, the atmospheric platformer Badland, Traktor DJ; pro DJ software which is available on both iPhone and iPad (which is normally $20), and Epic Games’ popular hack & slash sequel Infinity Blade II (which usually sits at $7).
Other freebies are available as well so if there’s a particular iOS game or app you’ve been eyeing, take another look; you might just be able to snag it for free.
