Xbox 360 players who want a sneak peek at upcoming Xbox Live updates can sign up for the system's new beta program.
Microsoft is set to kick off a new beta program for Xbox Live which players will be able to sign up for directly through the Xbox 360 dashboard.
The company isn’t quite ready to get into the nitty gritty of what sorts of changes the beta program will be testing but two changes they *were* willing to confirm are the retiring of MS points in favor of local currency (which they previously announced at E3) and an update which will hopefully reduce boot-up times for the console.
Major Nelson confirmed via his blog that signups for this new beta program will be handled a little differently:
"Unlike our previous beta programs, sign up is now accessed directly through your Xbox 360 console to streamline the experience. Space is limited, so once the spots are filled the beta will be closed to the public."
The signup button for the Xbox Beta Program should be viewable on the Xbox 360 home dashboard. All interested users will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement so if you were thinking of bragging to your friends about all your Xbox inside info, you might want to reconsider.
