Undead Labs has released the second major title update for their XBLA zombie sandbox State of Decay.
The State of Decay just got a little less decayed thanks to the second title update released by developer Undead Labs today.
Much like the first title update, this second patch is pretty substantial; fixing a large number of glitches and bugs. Some of the more notable features and fixes include the addition of a V-sync option that helps combat the game’s infamous screen tearing, fixing a bug that would prevent story progress if the player refused Quentin’s request to talk to the sheriff, and tweaking the placement of rucksacks dropped by dead survivors to ensure they no longer get stuck beneath the floor.
Considering State of Decay’s universal success (the game has already sold roughly half a million copies as of last week), it’s good that Undead Labs is making a priority of staying on top of what needs fixing and hopefully they’ll continue to refine and polish the game in the coming months (and maybe even patch in that co-op mode they originally wanted to include).
Sadly there are no new updates on the planned MMO follow-up which right now is known simply as “Class4” (State of Decay’s development name was “Class3”), for now it’s still stuck in development limbo as Undead Labs works out an agreement with Microsoft. In the meantime if you haven’t gotten to play the XBLA-exclusive State of Decay yet, now is as good a time as ever thanks to this new patch.
