Sony accidently charged a little too much for the PSN digital version of Deadpool but now they're working to make things right.
If after purchasing High Moon Studios’ new Deadpool game from PSN yesterday you felt your wallet was just a tad lighter than it should be, fear not because you’re not alone.
While PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game were correctly listed at $49.99, Sony accidently put it up on the PSN store as $59.99 and now they’re working to make things right. Sony made an official statement this morning on the PlayStation blog assuring players that they became aware of the discrepancy, have since fixed the price on the PSN store, and are issuing $10 credit coupons to those who purchased the game at the accidently inflated price.
It seems like an odd mistake for Sony to make considering the $10 difference is usually dependant on whether the game was purchased digitally or from a retail outlet (it costs a bit extra to imprint games onto discs and then package them) but at least they caught the mistake early on and are working to make things right.
Now whether you purchase the game for PC, Xbox 360, or PS3, rest assured you’ll be paying the same price as everybody else.
