Xbox 360 gamers have already won $100,000 in cash prizes in the last two months.
Gamers competing via the Xbox Tournaments with Virgin Gaming app on Xbox 360, now have a new way to win cash and show off their gaming skills. With the new update, players can now enter buy-in tournaments and head-to-head challenges using their own money. Since launching two months ago, Virgin Gaming has awarded Xbox 360 gamers nearly $100,000 in cash prizes, while also allowing players to seamlessly browse, enter, challenge, play in and track tournaments for their favorite games directly from Xbox Live.

Following the Xbox Tournaments with Virgin Gaming app initially launched in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom, this update will make the app available in additional markets, including New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Mexico with titles that include EA SPORTS Madden NFL 13, FIFA 13, NHL 13, 2K Sports' NBA 2K13, as well as FarCry 3 from Ubisoft. Players can compete in both buy-in and prized tournaments, and in wagered head-to-head competitions for FIFA 13, with additional one-on-one matchup titles to come in the future. To help gamers with their busy schedules, Virgin Gaming offers proprietary Play & Go Tournaments that allow players to enter flexible, convenience-based tournaments that they can play at any time.
To celebrate the app’s update and expansion, Virgin Gaming is offering one lucky gamer a chance to win The Ultimate Gaming Lounge, which amounts to $15,000 worth of prizes, including a 55” Television, a top surround sound system and a Foosball table.
