Some fun new additions have been added to the Virgin Gaming app on Xbox 360.
The popular Xbox 360 Virgin Gaming app, which allows players to participate in multiplayer tournaments for select games and win real cash, has received several exciting additions.
Xbox Live Gold members who download the free app can take part in a variety of tournaments for games such as Madden 13, FIFA 13, and Far Cry 3. The tournaments themselves are often free to participate in and award $1 to the winner of a three-round match. The newly updated version of the app however now also features buy-in tournaments which feature larger cash prizes for winners.
Climbing the worldwide Virgin Gaming leaderboard can award prizes as high as $100,000 (though you got to be one of the best in the world to win that kind of dough) and while the app was initially launched in the US, UK, and Canada, it is now also available to Xbox players in New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Mexico.
If you don’t think your own skills are good enough to go against the world’s best, you can also bet your own money on FIFA 13 matches (Virgin has confirmed that more cash wager titles will be added in the future).
While it isn’t exactly the sort of glamorous lifestyle of getting paid to play games many gamers no doubt yearn for, the Virgin Gaming app is still a fun way for exceptional players to make a little extra scratch doing what they enjoy.
