A Warhammer 40,000 MMO is in the works and set to release in the tail-end of 2015.
Developer Behavior Interactive, who some might recognize as the brains behind the cult Naughty Bear series, have acquired the rights for the popular Warhammer 40,000 license and they’ve already begun working on an MMO set within the Warhammer 40K universe which is slated to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in late 2015.
Dubbed Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, the game will initially allow players to join one of four different factions: Orks, Eldar, Space Marines, or Chaos Marines as they work with their comrades to secure various resources and territories spread around the game world. Behavior Interactive has also confirmed a number of other at-launch features including brutal melee finishers, vehicles such as the Predator and Ork Battlewagon, a third-person over-the-shoulder camera, and dynamic procedural content that will hopefully ensure players are never doing the same thing over and over again.
No further details were available at this time but I’d be very surprised if Eternal Crusade didn’t have an emphasis on PvP given the nature of the tabletop game it originated from as well as past forays into the Warhammer MMO scene.
