The Next Big Microsoft Franchise Could Be Like Halo And Gears of War.

Black Tusk Studios. Who are they and where did they come from? They are they company that used to be Microsoft Games Studio Vancouver. They have positions available for their work on a triple A Intellectual Property. It has been mentioned that the IP could be similar to Halo or the Gears of War franchise. A job listing states that Black Tusk is "working on ‘Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise’. It never goes into details, it just states who the "new company" is. “Black Tusk Studios is dedicated to creating immersive, AAA games that push the limits of Microsoft's entertainment platforms. Located in downtown Vancouver, Canada, we are part of the Microsoft Studios family, and we are growing. Do you have what it takes to keep pace with the best talent in the industry? Do you want to help define Microsoft's next big entertainment franchise? Let's talk.”

If it doesn't go into detail on what the IP is, then how could Black Tusk be advertising a job that would be working on a triple A property. It would appear that they are trying to attract developers to work on projects that are described as "really big." They state “Our people are talented, creative, fun-loving professionals with a desire to be part of something big. Something really big.” They also say "We hire the best talent from Vancouver and around the world, and our global recruiting effort is reflected in the diversity of cultures and backgrounds on our team.” This could just be the company trying to make something sound more appealing to other people who might apply for the job. However it has been reported (by member of the media Superannuation on twitter) that the new IP is a "a space shooter’ on the ‘scale of Gears or Halo’. It should be interesting to see what becomes of Black Tusk and their "really big," maybe new IP.
