Square Enix takes a page out of Nintendo's book and brings their fans upfront and personal reveals via livestream.
Right after Nintendo announced their special E3 Nintendo Direct, Square Enix followed in their footsteps by announcing "Square Enix Presents".
Much like Nintendo Direct, "Square Enix Presents" looks to provide a more personal experiences for fans of the Square Enix brand. During all three days of E3, Square will be broadcasting worldwide exclusives, developer interviews, and live demos directly to their Youtube channel.
With Square Enix announcing at the PS4 event that an all new Final Fantasy would be revealed at E3 and with titles like Final Fantasy Versus XIII missing from the spotlight for years, this could be a big E3 for Square Enix and their fans.
Square Enix has struggled mightily in the last few years with the company reporting major losses and losing a number of members from their executive board. Just today, Square Enix of America's CEO/President Mike Fischer left the company. "Square Enix Presents" represents a chance for the company to show that they are still on stable ground.
“Square Enix Presents is a new way we can engage on a more meaningful and personal level with our community and fans and share with them the spectacle and excitement of E3.” said Akio Oofuji, marketing director of Square Enix Japan.
