Insomniac Games Doesn’t Have Any Plans To Return To The Resistance Franchise . This information comes from a Reddit AMA, the studio CEO Ted Price did to promote their upcoming title called Fuse, but majority of the questions centered around games the studio developed in the past.
Price said, “The future of Resistance is unclear – I’ve said we wouldn’t go back to making Resistance since we don’t own the IP. But I’ve also learned to say “never say never.” He was later asked what his favorite in the series and he replied, my “favorite Resistance to make was Resistance 1, but my favorite to play was Resistance 3.” However Resistance: Fall of Man “was the most stressful game to make,” due to the PS3 launch window according to Ted Price. Price also shot down rumors of Resistance: Fall of Man recieving trophy support in the near future.
During the Reddit AMA, Ted Price talked about the Wii U, and gave his opinion on Sony, and Microsoft next-gen platforms. Whatever happens at Insomniac Games, it looks certain that they won't craft the next Resistance game in the series because Sony owns the rights to IP.
