Price called didn't call the Nintendo's Wii U a next-gen platform, and considers it a current-gen platform. During the Reddit AMA he was asked about Sony and Microsoft's next-gen consoles. Price said, "When it comes to PS4 I'm excited that they seem to lowering barriers for independent developers," he wrote. "It's cool to see almost weekly announcements from Sony explaining how they're opening things up for indies. And of course I'm very excited to see what Microsoft announces soon."
Early this year, Insomniac registered a trademark titled Sunset Overdrive, however with this news that they aren't even considering developing for the Wii U spotlights the rough road ahead for Nintendo's current-gen console.
