In the spirit of the election season, Sony Computer Entertainment is allowing fans to vote for the cover athlete of MLB 13 The Show.

While the presidential election is over, the spirit of voting remains strong this fall. Sony Computer Entertainment is jumping on the Electronic Arts bandwagon by giving fans a say in who graces the cover of MLB 13 The Show for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. With the new game shipping March 5, 2013, gamers can vote on their favorite baseball stars. Miguel Cabrera, Miguel Bautista, Buster Posey, Matt Kemp, and Andrew McCutchen are among the first MLB All-Stars to launch their campaigns, and they’ll be joined by other baseball players before the end of the year.

One of the main focuses of MLB 13 is Postseason baseball. The Show offers a new Playoff Mode, which will include an in-stadium atmosphere that replicates the excitement and tension of October baseball. Sony promises this experience is unrivalled by anything The Show has ever exhibited.

Other new features include a completely new beginner mode and instructional enhancements that make The Show the best pick-up and play baseball experience available. In addition, the improved Play Now mode streamlines gameplay for the option to play faster and simpler games. San Diego Studios has also revamped The Show’sFranchise and Road To The Show modes with expanded options and new gameplay experiences that improve the highest-rated baseball video game on the market.

The PS Vita version of The Show features the same list of upgrades and new features as the PS3 version. As with last year, you can sync your Season, Franchise and Road to the Show saves between platforms to continue the action anywhere.  MLB The Show also offers the opportunity to play with friends around the world on PlayStation Network.
