A new series of digital #1 comic issues are now available for free downloads on mobile devices and online.

With Iron Man 3 just around the corner and new Marvel video games like Marvel Heroes and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes coming soon, Marvel is embracing digital comics. Everyone remembers their first comic book, and now – Marvel is giving you over 700 of them for free with Marvel #1. Fans can head over to the special promotional page and sign up to get in on the action before Marvel #1 registration ends at 11:59pm ET on April 9th, 2013.

ComiXology and Marvel are pleased to announce the return of Marvel #1, a unique opportunity for fans to experience all of their favorite Marvel Super Heroes, and some new ones, by accessing over 700 #1 issues for free. These free comics can be read on the comiXology platform – available across iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, Windows 8 the Web at comiXology.com – and the Marvel Comics app (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch & Android devices) and online in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop, both powered by comiXology.

Founded in 2007, comiXology has revolutionized the comic book and graphic novel industry by delivering a cloud-based digital comics platform that makes discovering, buying, and reading comics more fun than ever before. ComiXology's Guided View reading technology transforms the comic book medium into an immersive and cinematic experience, helping comiXology become one of iTunes top 10 grossing iPad apps in both 2011 and 2012. Offering the broadest library of comic book content from the top 75 publishers, and including independent creators as well, comiXology will not stop until everyone on the face of the planet has become a comic book fan. A privately held company, comiXology is based in Gotham City.
