It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Dungeon Rampage on Steam.
This game reminded me a lot of the auto player games like Vampire Survivor and others in that genre. It also played a lot like a mobile game converted for Steam/PC. What I mean by that is you get certain things for doing something in game. You can unlock gifts after a certain time and have a certain amount of them.
As you can also see in the video, I played mostly by myself but there was one round where I was paired up with high leveled players or at least, I think they were players. They blew through the level and I could barely blink. I really wanted to show off the game, so I decided to play by myself and not be paired with other players.
March through each level collecting money and items along the way. You can also find keys to unlock chests as well. I found a new axe in a level, but it had a cooldown on it which sucked. I didn't know it had a cooldown until I got into a new level. I also found a boomerang like weapon that had range and no cooldown, so I used that for most of the runs. I also had a special attack that was like an earthquake spell that did some major damage. You can also find items in levels like healing potions and mushrooms. These look like Super Mario mushrooms, and they make you grow or shrink too.
There are boss fights at the end of stages. Sometimes you'll have to kill waves of enemies to get out of a level as well so be on your toes.
You can buy new costumes, items, and characters with red gems. You get red gems by leveling up and that can take quite a while. In my playthrough, I didn't get enough to unlock new characters. You can also level up your attributes. I went with attack and HP to start because you need more HP if you want to survive.
Overall Dungeon Rampage is an interesting game but I think it needs a little more polish. It's already super addictive as it is.
