It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at the 500 Finger Fillet demo.
500 Finger Fillet is a roguelite where you're in a sticky situation. Your hand is strapped to the table, and you have to try and not stab it with various stabbing devices. Those range from a knife, a fork, an ice pick, and more. These tools have different pros and cons so pick ones that work for you. You'll also have to worry about a time limit. You have a certain amount of time for each level and if you run out, you fail the challenge and have to start over.
There is also the chance that you stab your hand and sever your finger clean off. You might find a tool in the run that allows you to reattach said finger. There will also be rings and equipment that you can buy during the run as well. That could range from blood tablets that give you more blood, a stopwatch that stops time, a device that lets you stab multiple times in a row and much more. You can also find rings that will help you during the run as well so keep an eye out. There will be bugs around as well that you can stab for bonuses like more time, money or health.
I have to say that 500 Finger Fillet is an interesting take on the roguelite/mouse clicker game. It gives you a reason to click over and over. So many of those types of games feel stale over time but I wasn't feeling that with 500 Finger Fillet.
