It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Grapple Bear on Steam.
Grapple Bear is part speed runner, part platformer. I'm not the biggest fan of the physics in the game as they aren't super responsive. A couple of times, I thought I was going to set up a jump the right way and found myself spinning for quite a few attempts. You play the role of the bear, complete with a trust grappling hook. After finishing a level, you have a select amount of time to collect cards that add to the backstory of the game. You'll have to back through a level to collect said cards and some of the levels are pretty tough.
A cool feature is that you can speedrun levels against other players as well as your friends. Compete to get top score. You might even see yours truly have a top three time in a few levels. Learn from my methods and get better marks.
I'd like to thank the devs for a review code. Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
