It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Cobalt Miner on Steam.
In the not-too-distant future of 2046, we play the role of the miner who has to pay off his debt. You'll have to figure out ways tom do that the main one is of course, mining for minerals to sell. You'll be able to mine for resources as well as upgrade your skills and stamina to make things easier. You'll also be able to upgrade storage to hold more stuff to make things easier.
You'll also have the option to perform side missions to help your cause. In one instance, you'll have to find a missing sheep for a farmer. If you do' you'll be able to get him to allow you mine on his property. Problem solving at its finest folks. Be warned because you'll run out of energy and like in real life, move slower than usual. You'll also want to mine frequently so you can have a large supply of materials. You won't want to run out of batteries for your motorcycle but it appears that every town/major location has crafting areas.
I don't usually like playing games with a keyboard and mouse but Cobalt Miner works using that control scheme. I like what I played and want to thank the devs for the review code. Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
