It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Fortune Seller on Steam!
You play the role of a new cashier trying to make a fresh sale. To do that you need to place sale items in a strategic way to make the most out of said sale. That could be from placing the right item on the right square on the board for example. You will also be able to get tarot cards, spell cards, and new items as you reach the daily quota to move on to the next day. You'll have the option to place the items the way you pick them up of rotate them. Figuring out the best way to place items is key because you have to make sales to win. You have a limited number of customers to make the quote. If you don't clear, you lose. You'll also be able to upgrade cards as well as give items abilities. These upgrades/skills might be the way you get that higher sales price and clear the day. After each day, you can buy things from the store. These range from new items to sell to new tarot/spell cards. You can also reroll, but you have a limited number of coins from each day. The quicker you make quota, the more coins you'll get.
At the end of five business days, you'll have a blood-moon. This is like a boss encounter where you'll have a tougher quota to make. If you do, you'll make your way to a fresh week. You will also get rewarded for clearing the blood-moon. That could be something like more money for winning to a contract. The contract is like an added bonus in "combat." You can also get new items for your store too. After clearing each day, you can also buy new cards/spells or take on a challenge coin. These can have both pros and cons so plan carefully.
I have seen a few games like Fortune Seller in the past but I really like what I saw in the playthrough. It is an interesting take on the genre and I'm really looking forward to seeing more. I would love it if this came to consoles!
