It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Fallen Tear: The Ascension on Steam. It's in early access right now so if you want to check out a story-based Metroidvania with characters that have some charm, then check it out.
Step into the role of Hira, a mysterious child fated to stand against ancient gods. I really like the different skills you can master while exploring like the wall jump. I also like that different characters have different skills. Bjorn has an attack to throw heated plates of food because he's a chef. I had a little bit of trouble getting the game to run on my PC but the controls/attacks felt very tight/responsive. The voice acting in the game was very well done too but there were times where lines just cut out for no reason.
Fallen Tear: The Ascension is a fun take on the Metroidvania genre. I love the character designs as well as the overall look/feel of the game. Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
