It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at the Alpha Nomos Demo on Steam.
This game is an action roguelike where attacking with rhythm is key. You play as the charming Cello as she uses different weapons to attack enemy puppets. Your whole style of play is on the rhythm of the music. You can attack as well as dodge on the beat. Leaning how to attack and doge is a little tough to do because there were times I was sure I was doing the right thing and then I didn't get to attack or dodge an enemy. Like in most roguelikes, you'll be able to go to different locations that help you in different ways. You might be able to get health upgrades in one room and then have to deal with a string enemy in another. There were times as well when the motion was tough because I was trying to move/dodge and I would get stuck on the environment or enemies.
