Chichuki Plays CladunX3!

It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Cladun X3 on the Nintendo Switch 2. RPG fans will really want to check this one out!

The first thing you'll notice is there is a lot of customization in Cladun. You'll be given the option to craft your main character as well as several other characters for your party. You'll be able to change that character to allow one of the other characters you created to take the lead. They gain for experience as the lead character too. You can put characters in special Magic circles to allow upgrades. You can put different items/equipment and characters to effect the Magic Circle so your party can gain more power/upgrades.

Long story short, only villains are allowed in the land of Arcanus Cella. This land takes villains and keeps them there so the land they came from can heal itself. In Arcanus Cella, a death match is being held to take care of these villains. The game reminds me a lot of the mystery dungeon series where you have to explore location after location and find all kinds of cool stuff. One difference is that the floors are the same each time you run into them. That will play into your advantage because if you finish the level in the time allotted, you'll get fame. The more fame you get, the better your reputation will be and so on. You'll be able to find all kinds of equipment in the different levels and you'll be able to sell them for money. You'll also be able to find currency in the levels too. There are traps in the dungeons too so be on guard. Some of them are helpful but most of them are dangerous. You might get lucky and get your health back from a trap. They're easy to tell what they do so you shouldn't get tricked too much.

Characters have different skills, classes, and equipment. You can change classes from the main menu so if you don't like one, you can switch it. You have the option to create several characters so it might be easier to craft a new party member instead of switching. Controls are pretty easy to understand. I was using my sword pretty quick when I needed to and was able to use spells/attacks quickly. Keeping the different members of the party leveled up or at least all around the same level feels important. You never know when you might need to switch to a different character/skill. Being able to tell what equipment could be used in the Magic Circle and where was the only thing I was having a tough time with. It took a little bit but I was getting the hang of it. The Magic Circles feels like a good way to level up characters quickly as everytime you go into a dungeon/floor, they'll gain experience. Also make sure you make use of the shop to buy new weapons/equipment. You might gain the upper hand in battle with a new weapon.

To sum up, I really like Cladun X3. The customization in the game is great. You can pick just about anything like looks, skin color, etc. Hell, if you want a hamburger head for your character, you can. Anytime, I can give Stevie pink hair is a bonus for me. If you want a deep RPG with lots of features, check out Cladun X3.
