After singing a song of success on Kickstarter earlier this year, Echoes of the Unread, the literary genre-hopping NES epic from solo developer Matt Tuttle’s Clever Cat Games, is turning the page to its next chapter. Fans who missed the campaign can now pre-order this whimsical 8-bit adventure, available exclusively through publisher Mega Cat Studios’ online store.
Starting today, classic gaming connoisseurs can pre-order Echoes of the Unread in one of three formats: a budget-friendly bare cart, the CIB Standard Edition, or—for ultimate collectors—the gorgeous, hand-crafted Limited Edition.
Alongside the game, fans can also pre-order a variety of exciting extras, including the official soundtrack on vinyl or CD, a beautifully illustrated art book that brings the game’s vibrant world and characters to life, a hardcover journal, and more.
Echoes of the Unread is currently slated to release in February of 2026 for the NES and Steam.
