Knights Peak and Windup Games are pleased to announce that their heartwarming third-person open-world adventure Hela, inspired by Scandinavian folklore, will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The highly acclaimed debut game from the creators of the Unravel series, is set to launch also on Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5 and PC. This announcement followed the exclusive trailer release during the recent Nintendo Direct.

Hela is a third-person adventure set in the beautiful northern Scandinavian nature and tells the enchanting story of a kind Witch and her familiars — agile mice with magical abilities. For ages, the friendly witch has used her magic to help the local folk, but now she has fallen ill and needs help herself. It's up to the players to set out on a quest to heal the Witch, and combine exploration of magical landscapes, foraging, puzzles, action, and brewing.
