A Real Metroid-Genie-a: Mira and the Legend of the Djinns-Chichuki Views

It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Views, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. Today, we're checking out Mira and the Legend of the Djinns on Steam.

Mira and the Legend of the Djinns has some of the smoothest controls and platforming I have seen in a Metroidvania to date. Combine that with the graphics and this game is one to keep an eye out for. You play the role of Yuba as a treasure hunter who has a dream of becoming a musician. The way the Gambri, your instrument, is played is a lot of the Ocarina in the Legend of Zelda. You'll learn songs and in time, those songs will be very important.

Having a wall climb move and a edge grab maneuver already has this game ahead of some of the newer Metroidvanias coming out. I also like being able to heal health pretty much whenever you want. You just have to attack enemies to gain the ability to do it. When I was fighting enemies, the encounters felt fair and I never thought it was unfair.

I found myself really enjoying the gameplay and am looking forward to getting to know the characters. I want to know what the other songs sound like and what other djinn there are to find.
