It's that time again for another episode of Chichuki Views. This time around were checking out Silent Hope on the Nintendo Switch. Fans of role playing games combined with dungeon crawling will be in for a fun time. The king has run off with the kingdom's ability to communicate,WORDS, and jumped into the Abyss. The Princess was so upset that she trapped herself in her crystalized tears. She was shocked by her father's actions that she knew she had to make things right. Seven heroes, with different abilities, were summoned to the kingdom to help restore peace, and words. Graphically, the game looks like a storybook/fairy tale and that works so well. The group of seven have all kinds of skills and each one has a different job in town. You will have to explore the Abyss to find all kinds of materials to build new items and weapons. You will also find new weapon memories as well as recipes to help the quest. The first time through the Abyss acts as your tutorial so you can learn the basics of the controls. As I was playing I changed characters a few times in the dungeons to test their styles of play. You don't feel too over matched in the dungeon when you switch to a character you haven't used before. You'll have to change classes to get all the special attacks for your character and the game does a good job in making you want to play as other characters. I mentioned before that each character has a job in town. You have to craft different things in different parts of town. You'll find yourself starting to craft something and going into the Abyss to wait for it to be done. The issue I had was that you need wood to craft weapons as well as stone. But you have to go to two separate stands to craft both items. If that's the only issue I have with Silent Hope thus far, then I think the game will be just fine. Check out the Chichuki Views video below for hands-on/opinions about the game as well as why I'm giving it a 9/10. I'd like to thank the folks at XSEED Games/Marvelous for the review code.
