You folks are in for a real treat for Chichuki Views this time around. I was able to check out Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril at PAX East this year and loved it. In the past I had seen people play it online but never had a way to play it myself. That changed when it was finally added to the Nintendo Switch. This game is like if Mega Man and Cuphead had a baby. What I mean by that is it's challenging at times like Mega Man and boss crazy like Cuphead. There are moments that feel easy to platform and then you get to one spot where you're throwing your controller all over the place. On the plus side, you can play with the NES Joycon controller and that brings back the feeling of playing it on an actual NES. I usually try to go into Chichuki Views with blind playthroughs but I decided against that with Battle Kid as I knew it was going to be pretty tough. I'd like to thank the folks at 8BitLegit for the code as I had a blast with Battle Kid. Check out the Chichuki Views video below for hands-on/thoughts of Battle Kid.
