Independent games studio Robot Circus is pleased to announce the release of its science fiction epic Ticket to Earth on the Google Play store. Originally released for Apple touch devices on the App Store earlier this year and then on Steam, after months of requests from fans, it is now available for Android devices.
The Android edition of Ticket to Earth comes complete with Episode 1: Uprising and Episode 2: Crash, and will also include episodes 3 and 4 as free add-ons when they are released in 2018. The first two episodes alone feature three playable heroes and over 60 challenging levels, providing many hours of strategic gameplay and engrossing story.
Ticket to Earth tells the story of Rose, a young woman who grew up orphaned because of a horrific industrial accident. When a wave of violence sweeps through the remote interstellar mining colony she calls home, she is forced to take up arms to defend the people she loves. Its unique gameplay is a blend of turn-based battlefield strategy, tile-matching puzzle, and party-management RPG, presented with beautiful art and music and carried by a strong science fiction story about justice and retribution.
The Android release of Ticket to Earth is the culmination of an enormous year for the Robot Circus team, beginning in March with the game’s iOS launch – their first self-published game. In the months that followed they released the PC and Mac version, expanded its content with a second episode, and then added augmented reality (AR) support to the iOS 11 edition. They also exhibited at PAX Australia, were selected for Indiecade Europe, were nominated for a Unity Award, and won an Australian Game Developers Award (AGDA) in October.
